Sunbathing Home

There's no place as cozy as home. After working all day long, surviving trafic jam and polution, enjoying hours of warm water bath, sipping a cup of hot tea/coffee will be a joyfull moment for everyone. Those activities will be remarkably pleasant if you have a 'healthy home.' I'm not talking about having a luxury house nor large space to live. There's no guarantee your luxury house is a healthy home anyway.

To have a healthy home, we have to arrange the circulation of the light and the air. To be speciffic, arrangement of the room, the light and the air is three fundamental elements in building a healthy home for everyone. Here we pick an example (one of our building) located in Singgasana Pradana, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.

In this small home we can see a lot of medium and large windows. Those windows will let sunlight flooding every area in the house.

The entrance will lead us straight to the living room. For a small house like this one, we only use a single divider to separating the living room and the family room. The divider can be a single, minimalist clean look wall (above), or wood like this one (below).

A large window in the main room will giving a full view to the small garden. This small garden essential for separating the main building and the kitchen. What I'm talking about here is a privacy. Small home lack of privacy. But here, we can have one. The maid doesn't have to accesss the main building. All that she need (kitchen, bathroom, maid room) are located in one space.

Here we give you some tips for creating a healthy home:
1. Pay attention to the air circulation, don't make front ventilation if you got sewer ahead. This will directly breeze the odor from your sewer. Gross!

2. Make a ventilation in the ceiling of your bathroom. If you can't make a horizontal ventilation, make it vertical.

3. The kitchen appliances will stay clean and organize if you put it in the cabinet. A minimalist kitchen set like this one, will take you to the whole new level of cooking.Photobucket
